Macron’s Talks with Trump and Qatar Emir Focus on Key Issues
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron stated in posts on social media platform X that he held telephone conversations with Donald Trump and the Emir of Qatar regarding developments in West Asia and Europe.
Macron wrote: “I had a good phone call with Trump.We discussed concerning developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, especially following Moscow’s drone incursions into Poland. We also shared our concerns about the situation in West Asia after Israeli attacks on Qatar. Close cooperation between Europeans and Americans is crucial on each of these issues. Together, we can play a decisive role in peace and security!”
In another post on X about his consultation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, Macron added: “I told him these attacks (by Israeli occupiers against Doha) are unacceptable, and I condemn them. I also emphasized France’s commitment to Qatar’s sovereignty and security.”
