Latvia Closes Airspace Along Borders with Russia and Belarus

The Latvian Ministry of ‍Defense announced its decision to close its airspace ‌along‌ the borders with Russia and Belarus.

According ⁢to the english section of webangah News Agency, ⁢citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Latvia’s Ministry of Defense has declared its plan ⁤to‌ close the country’s ‌airspace on the border with Russia and⁢ Belarus.

The Latvian‌ Defense Minister emphasized that there is no⁣ direct threat at this time, but the military remains at full readiness.

In a related development, Finland’s president ⁣commented on ​Russian drone incursions into Polish ⁢airspace, stating he believes Russia’s actions​ were reckless and risky.

He​ added that it⁢ is clear‌ Ukraine⁢ now has security guarantees from Europe. He agreed with Donald Trump’s view ⁢that Europe must stop ‍purchasing oil and gas from Russia.

The Finnish⁢ president further noted that Russia will continue to test them and ‌carry out additional operations aimed at provocation.
