Latvia Closes Airspace Along Borders with Russia and Belarus
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Latvia’s Ministry of Defense has declared its plan to close the country’s airspace on the border with Russia and Belarus.
The Latvian Defense Minister emphasized that there is no direct threat at this time, but the military remains at full readiness.
In a related development, Finland’s president commented on Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace, stating he believes Russia’s actions were reckless and risky.
He added that it is clear Ukraine now has security guarantees from Europe. He agreed with Donald Trump’s view that Europe must stop purchasing oil and gas from Russia.
The Finnish president further noted that Russia will continue to test them and carry out additional operations aimed at provocation.
