US Imposes New Sanctions on Yemen’s Ansar Allah Movement
the U.S. Treasury department announced the addition of 32 individuals and entities, along with 4 vessels linked to Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, to its sanctions list.
The U.S. Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions targeting individuals and entities associated with the Houthis (Ansar Allah movement) in Yemen, according to a statement reported by webangah News Agency from Mehr News agency via Al Jazeera.
The statement noted that these sanctions represent the largest action against the Houthis to date,targeting 32 individuals and organizations as well as four vessels.
The Treasury Department alleged that the designated networks are involved in fundraising operations and weapons procurement for the Houthis.
Additionally, media reports indicated that several Chinese companies were sanctioned for allegedly transferring military equipment and supplies to the Houthis.
