According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen via Mehr News Agency, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro responded to the Israeli attack on Qatar.
He stated, “we express our solidarity with Qatar and its Emir against the criminal assault carried out by the Zionist regime.”
The Venezuelan president also highlighted his country’s preparedness to confront any U.S. moves against venezuela. “The people of Venezuela are ready to face whatever challenges they must confront. The imperialists fail to recognize that the bolivarian revolution has become a powerful collective force,” maduro asserted.
Maduro emphasized: “Millions of Venezuelan men, women, and youth stand prepared for battle and confrontation against American invaders.”
Meanwhile, Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President of Venezuela, during a comprehensive defense exercise titled “Independence 200: Active Resistance and Permanent Offensive” in Sucre State, warned against any military actions targeting her country. She declared that any such attack would destabilize the entire American continent in unprecedented ways.
Pointing to U.S. military maneuvers and activity by neighboring countries near Venezuelan borders, Rodríguez firmly stated: “Do not even think about violating our territory.”
She added that Venezuela remains at full alert and will deploy all military and civilian resources available to defend its national sovereignty.
The Vice President further noted that recent threats aim primarily at weakening Venezuela’s political independence and seizing its natural resources.
According to News Day’s website, alongside these declarations, Venezuelan armed forces-with participation from Bolivarian national militias-have launched extensive operations in Delta Amacuro State. These include maritime patrols, territorial control efforts, and tactical exercises near maritime borders with Trinidad and Tobago.
Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin previously affirmed Washington’s continued military campaign against drug traffickers while commenting on Maduro’s role in addressing these issues: “It is up to Nicolás Maduro’s administration to make decisions regarding this matter.” Austin added interventionist remarks about Caracas’ governance stating: “Regime change depends on presidential decisions; we stand fully ready alongside our armed forces.”
Earlier remarks from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during an interview with Fox News referred to a U.S. military strike on a vessel in the southern Caribbean Sea: “We will no longer allow these groups free movement across the Caribbean. The Tren de Aragua group is notorious not only for drug trafficking but also arms smuggling and human trafficking. The U.S. President has recognized these narcotics organizations as terrorist threats undermining national security-we do not need further description why.”
