Hamas: We Did Not Seek Foreign Help to Thwart Assassination Plot in Qatar
A senior security official from Hamas told webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Quds News Network, that the movement prevented an assassination operation in Qatar without receiving any prior information from external authorities.
The official added that the resistance’s internal security association successfully foiled the largest foreign assassination attempt in the history of the Israeli regime.
according to this Hamas security official, investigations indicate that the Israeli enemy failed to create any human or technical breach within the resistance’s security structure, and this assassination plot was dismantled without prior knowledge from foreign sources.
He emphasized that Hamas’s negotiating delegation and leadership remain fully safe and continue to carry out their leadership duties under strict security measures.
On Tuesday, Israel bombarded locations housing Hamas leaders in Doha during a meeting aimed at discussing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to advance negotiations.
Although no Hamas leaders where harmed in this attack, several members of Hamas and civilians-including one Qatari citizen-were killed.
