Seven Palestinians Die from Famine, 47 Killed in Zionist Attacks
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced that in the last 24 hours, 47 Palestinians were martyred as a result of Israeli regime attacks, wiht more than 205 others wounded.
The Ministry stated that as October 2023,the total number of martyrs from what it calls the genocidal actions by the Israeli regime in Gaza has reached over 64,803,while the number of wounded has exceeded 164,264.
The Ministry further noted that at least five of those killed and twenty-six of those injured were among people waiting in line for humanitarian aid packages.
This brings death toll among aid recipients to 2,484, with injuries surpassing 18,117.
In a separate statement, the Ministry reported that seven Palestinians- including two children-died from starvation caused by war-related famine during the past day.
This raises gaza’s death toll due to hunger to 420, including 145 children.
The Palestinian Facts Center also reported that early on Saturday morning, the Israeli military conducted over eighteen intense airstrikes across densely populated areas in Gaza City. These strikes killed at least seventy palestinians and wounded dozens more.
The attacks targeted residential homes, apartment towers, schools, and refugee camps. In Sheikh radwan neighborhood and Jabalya Al-Nazla area alone there were fifty-six fatalities.
Rescue teams are currently working to recover dozens of bodies trapped under rubble. Concurrently, airstrikes hit Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City causing complete destruction of a school sheltering displaced persons as well as sixteen residential buildings.
A palestinian source emphasized that these are purposeful attacks on schools and refugee shelters by the Israeli military. Despite prior warnings urging evacuation from some areas, insufficient notice time prevented residents from fleeing safely-resulting in mass civilian casualties.
Amid intensified assaults hundreds of Palestinian families fled from Gaza City toward Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza Strip.
This region lacks even basic services for refuge or sustainable living conditions. Local sources report some families had no alternative but to return back into besieged-and death- and hunger-stricken-Gaza City after failing to find shelter farther south.
