Pakistan: Gaza Faces Famine; Israel Must Be Pressured
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Pakistan’s representative at the United Nations told Al Jazeera that Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s attack on Doha and supports Qatar’s sovereignty. He described Israel’s actions in Gaza as an illegal war and said the Security Council has failed to act to secure a ceasefire.
The Pakistani official added that Israel has targeted negotiators in Doha, restricting mediators’ efforts. Tel Aviv is behaving irresponsibly and must be pressured to end the conflict in Gaza. Gaza is facing famine, and this situation cannot be allowed to continue. The Security Council must intervene.
Islamabad further stated that Israel has violated Security Council resolutions for decades and disregards international humanitarian laws.Israel stands isolated internationally. Achieving a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue is essential.
