Tel Aviv Expresses Concern Over Egypt’s Proposal to Form Arab Military Force
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, reported that Yair lapid, leader of the opposition in the Israeli regime, voiced alarm on social media about Egypt’s call to form a unified Arab military power aimed at countering attacks from Israel.
he wrote that such proposals represent a severe blow to peace agreements following the failure of normalization deals and come despite firm support from Israel’s allied countries for establishing a Palestinian state at the United Nations.
Lapid added that Netanyahu’s cabinet has destabilized Israel’s international standing. “The world now sees Israel as an irresponsible and aggressive regime,” he said. “Action must be taken before it is too late.”
Yesterday, Egyptian users circulated statements by thier president made ten years ago advocating for an integrated Arab force to address security challenges. To date, this proposal has not been implemented.
This resurgence followed an Israeli attack inside Qatar targeting Hamas leaders.
