Anti-Immigration Protests Rock UK; Home Secretary Issues Warning
Teh UK Home Secretary,Shabana Mahmood,has warned that anyone attacking police officers during recent anti-immigration protests in central London will face full legal consequences,according to the English section of webangah News Agency.
Yesterday’s demonstrations, led by far-right activist tommy Robinson under the slogan “Unite the Kingdom,” condemned the UK government’s immigration policies.
London police estimated that approximately 110,000 people took part.Several officers were deployed to maintain order at the events.
Mahmood posted on social media platform X: “I condemn attacks on and injuries to police officers. Anyone involved in these criminal acts will face the full force of the law.”
the protesters gathered at Russell Square before marching toward Whitehall carrying English flags adorned with St George’s Cross and Union Jacks representing all of Britain.
During the demonstrations, some protesters attacked police forces. According to London police,bottles,flares,and other projectiles were thrown at officers.Nine individuals have been arrested so far, with further detentions possible.
