The protesters carried placards with messages such as “Zionist Israel Out of Palestine,” “No to Genocide,” and “Freedom for Palestine.” They then marched toward Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make their voices heard by government officials.
Swedish social activist Malin Åkterström told Anadolu Agency that attributing main responsibility solely to Hamas is unfounded. She saeid Israeli attacks on Palestinians did not begin on October 7th but have a longer history.
She sharply criticized European politicians’ inactivity regarding this crisis and accused them of neglecting their duties.
Comparing conditions between Palestine and Ukraine, Åkterström emphasized that Palestinians have the same right as ukrainians to defend themselves under international law.
she added that people are dying from hunger in Gaza-a situation also occurring in the West Bank-but media portray it misleadingly as merely a conflict between Israel and Hamas.
This Swedish activist also condemned Stockholm’s double standards for accepting wounded civilians from Ukraine while refusing medical aid to those injured in Gaza. She called this stance hypocritical and shameful.
