Iraq Prime Minister Calls for Formation of Political-Security Coalition Among Islamic Countries
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Iraqi Prime minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani described the recent Israeli airstrike on Qatar as a “shocking event and a clear violation of all international laws and norms” during an interview with Al Jazeera.
He emphasized that this act reflects the nature of the “criminal state of Israel,” adding,”The aggression against a brotherly country like Qatar is a direct threat to its security and that of all regional governments.”
Al Sudani also highlighted the necessity for establishing a cooperative framework among Islamic countries. He stated, “The time has come to form a political, security, and economic alliance among Islamic states.”
He stressed that there are no obstacles to creating a joint security force to defend the interests of the Islamic world. Islamic countries possess tools and capacities that can be used effectively to counter Zionist regime aggression.
The Prime Minister further referred to developments in Gaza, noting: “What has lasted over two years in Gaza is nothing but an organized process of murder and crime.”
