Israeli Minister: Hamas Leaders in Turkey May Be Targeted
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian Sama News Agency via Mehr News Agency, Eli Cohen, Israel’s Minister of Energy and a member of the regime’s political-security cabinet, told the Saudi newspaper Elaph that targeting Hamas leaders in Istanbul, Turkey is not out of the question.
Cohen claimed, “Anyone connected to Hamas will never rest peacefully anywhere in the world.”
Responding to questions about coordination wiht the United states before Israel’s recent attack on doha, he said: ”I can say that Israel and America act in full coordination.”
“the United States is our greatest ally. President Trump plays a key role in supporting Middle East stability.During Trump’s term, conflicts were less intense. I am confident that new peace agreements will be signed under his administration,” Cohen added.
He launched verbal attacks on Qatar, calling it “a source of regional instability” and asserting: “Qatar is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and is not only an enemy of Israel but also opposed by all moderate Islamic countries.It finances Iran and harbors terrorist groups alongside Iran, Turkey, and Lebanon.”
The Israeli energy minister also stated that Israel would remain present in Lebanon and Syria provided that extremist groups exist there.
Cohen alleged that once these extremist factions withdraw from those countries, “the ultimate goal will be reaching peace agreements involving energy supply, water provision, and technology transfer.”
Concluding his remarks, Cohen claimed: “When Israeli captives are released and Hamas lays down its arms, the war will end - possibly even as soon as tomorrow.”
