Gaza Ministry of Health: We Face Severe Shortage of Medical Supplies

The‌ gaza Ministry of Health has announced that laboratory units and blood banks in the region’s hospitals face a severe shortage of essential consumables needed to conduct vital ‍tests.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News ​Agency and the Palestine Facts Center, the Gaza Ministry of Health ⁢reported ⁢on Sunday that laboratory⁣ units and blood banks in hospitals across the area are experiencing critical shortages of ⁣consumables required for essential medical testing.

The ministry ⁣emphasized that laboratory solutions necessary ⁢for assessing blood electrolytes, blood ‌gases, CBC (complete blood count), and virus testing⁤ are unavailable. This shortage‍ is preventing healthcare providers ⁣from completing required tests ⁢for patients and⁤ injured individuals.

The Gaza ⁢Ministry of Health ‌noted that actions have⁢ been ‍taken through the World Health Organization to supply these necessary items, which currently ⁣remain in WHO warehouses in the West⁣ bank. The⁢ ministry called‍ on relevant⁢ authorities to urgently intervene to finalize coordination ⁢efforts ensuring these laboratory supplies can ‍enter Gaza safely and be ⁤accessed securely.
