100th Weekly Protest in Australia Against Zionist Regime’s Genocide in Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Facts Centre, thousands gathered outside Melbourne Central library, Australia’s second-largest city. They demanded an immediate end to attacks by the occupying regime’s military and called on the Australian government to impose sanctions against Israel.
The demonstrators than marched through Melbourne’s city center carrying signs with slogans such as “Israel is a terrorist state,” “Stop genocide in Gaza,” “Zionism is terrorism,” “Stop killing children,” “Immediate sanctions on Israel,” and “Israel kills a child every hour.”
Jamal Hakim, former member of Melbourne city Council, noted that these peaceful protests have been held consistently over 100 weeks and have included Australians from diverse backgrounds.
He emphasized: ”The time has come for Australia to impose sanctions against the Israeli regime.”
