Hamas Calls Israeli Detention of Palestinian Students a Crime
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Data Center, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement hamas issued a statement on Sunday condemning the continuous detention of academics and field interrogations of female students by occupying forces. Hamas described these acts as clear violations and systematic repression, emphasizing that such measures will not intimidate the Palestinian people.
The statement reads: The occupying forces’ practice of arresting women and students, especially at Hebron University, transferring them to university headquarters for field interrogation constitutes systematic terrorism.It underscores an escalating policy of crackdown against the Palestinian nation.
Hamas called on legal bodies to document these violations along with testimonies from detained Palestinians for presentation before international and national courts with international jurisdiction. The movement demanded holding occupying leaders accountable for their fascist crimes.
Additionally, Hamas urged freedom advocates worldwide to intensify pressure through demonstrations and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people to halt these brutal crimes and violations perpetrated by occupiers.
The movement also appealed to Palestinians to confront all forms of struggle and resistance against occupiers and settlers who carry out some of the most atrocious acts of brutality and suppression against people across the occupied West Bank.
