US-China Trade Talks Begin in Spain
A new round of trade talks between China and the United States has begun in Madrid, Spain, with the participation of China’s Vice premier and the U.S. Treasury Secretary.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing South China Morning Post via Mehr News Agency, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and U.S.Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen are leading a fresh round of trade negotiations in Madrid, Spain.
This comes as the tariff truce reached in Stockholm is set to expire in november.
The delegations arrived at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in central Madrid Sunday afternoon local time, just hours after the Chinese team landed in the capital.
Dozens of journalists from Chinese and European media gathered outside the ministry building to cover the event.
