Hamas Condemns Netanyahu and Rivlin’s Bold Move at the Western Wall
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian shehab News Agency via Mehr news Agency, Hamas released a statement condemning the provocative visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Western Wall (Al-Buraq) in occupied Jerusalem.
Hamas described this act beside the Western Wall – an inseparable part of Al-Aqsa Mosque – as a clear violation of sacred sites and a flagrant breach of the historical and legal arrangements governing Jerusalem.
The group added that this brazen incursion directly provokes Arab and Muslim sentiments, flagrantly violates international laws and norms, and once again exposes full support from the current U.S. administration for Israel’s regime-and its collaboration in committing crimes against Palestinians, their land, and their holy places.
Hamas emphasized that the Western Wall remains an integral Islamic part of Al-Aqsa Mosque that will forever stay under its religious identity; all schemes by Israel and its backers to alter its historical or Islamic character will fail.
They continued: The pure stones of Al-Aqsa Mosque will reject all intruders, shattering extremist Zionist ambitions against unwavering steadfast residents standing firmly by these ancient walls.
On Sunday,September 13th,Marco Rubio visited alongside Mike Huckabee,U.S. Ambassador to Tel Aviv, and Benjamin Netanyahu.Wearing kippahs (Jewish skullcaps), they provocatively appeared next to the Western Wall-praying on site in what is considered an inflammatory gesture.
