Israeli Sources: Crisis in Israel’s Military Has Spiraled Out of Control
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency which references Al Jazeera, reported that the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz quoted Israeli military sources revealing that thousands of soldiers have left the army since the start of the war on Gaza.
An Israeli army officer acknowledged that this number is much higher than what has been publicly reported in the media.
He added that this crisis within the Israeli military has spiraled out of control.
Several soldiers said they decided too leave due to low morale, making it unachievable for them to continue serving.
Israeli military officials had previously warned about a severe shortage of personnel. Reports also indicate that at least eight Haredi Jewish draft evaders were arrested at Ben Gurion Airport.
