Sudani Calls for Comprehensive Roadmap to Achieve Full Ceasefire in Gaza
Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, spoke today at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Doha, Qatar. According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency,he stated that an attack on Qatar sends a negative message and diminishes chances for peaceful resolutions.
Al Sudani emphasized that Israel’s ongoing policies without deterrence will onyl increase instability and fail to guarantee the security of any party involved. He underlined that the security and stability of every Arab or Islamic country are integral parts of collective security.
He called for adopting a unified Arab and Islamic stance condemning attacks on brotherly Qatar. “My proposal is that any attack against any Arab or Islamic country should be considered a threat to all those countries,” he said. Furthermore, he stressed the need to develop a comprehensive roadmap to achieve a complete ceasefire in Gaza.
Al Sudani also proposed forming a joint Arab-Islamic committee to communicate their position to the UN Security Council and other international organizations. ”We have a real prospect to send a clear message that our national security is non-negotiable,” he added.
