GCC Issues Statement on Tel Aviv’s Attack on Qatar
The Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned Israel’s aggression and blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, according to a statement released today.
The council described Israel’s actions as a dangerous escalation that is unacceptable and a flagrant breach of international law. The GCC leaders have instructed the defense council to hold an urgent meeting in Doha, preceded by a session of the Higher Military Commitee.
The statement added that the council will assess the GCC’s defense posture and threat sources in light of this aggression against Qatar.
Following this decision, military commanders have been tasked with implementing necessary measures to activate joint defense mechanisms and enhance deterrence capabilities.
