Maduro: They Fabricate Lies to Justify an Attack on Venezuela
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said today, Monday, during a press conference: “For five weeks, we have been working to preserve Venezuela’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.Nuclear threats and preparations for an attack against Venezuela exist, wiht thousands of soldiers positioned around us, especially in Puerto Rico.”
Maduro added, “We are exercising our legitimate right to self-defense. What might happen is a military and diplomatic aggression. If circumstances require us to take up arms, we will do so to protect our land.”
Nicolás Maduro further stated: “They make excuses and spread lies to justify attacking Venezuela. The footage of the alleged attack on a Venezuelan ship requires investigation by the US president regarding its authenticity. This video resembles others previously released in the Arab region and elsewhere-its validity is questionable.”
In late August, Washington deployed US Navy destroyers (USS gravely, USS Jason Dunham, and USS Simpson) near Venezuela’s coast.
In response, Nicolás Maduro declared he had mobilized 4.5 million people through paramilitary forces nationwide and stood ready to confront any possible assault.
Yesterday, Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López announced that the United states has conducted aerial reconnaissance missions over the Caribbean and areas near Venezuela. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the American military is prepared for an operation aimed at “regime change” in Venezuela.
