Lebanese President: We Seek Friendly Relations with Iran

According to the English section of webangah News agency, quoting Mehr News ⁢Agency and ⁣Al Mayadeen ‍network, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized during⁢ a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries in Doha⁢ that his​ country‍ seeks ‍to strengthen‍ friendly relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran based on mutual ⁢respect and​ shared‌ interests.

Referring to differing ⁢viewpoints among ⁣nations, he stated, “Differences in perspective ‌are⁢ natural;​ however, ongoing cooperation and dialog can pave‍ the way for overcoming​ obstacles​ and expanding friendly relations.”
