Hamas Responds to Trump’s Claim on Israeli Prisoners
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement sharply denouncing recent remarks by Donald Trump regarding Israeli military strikes on Gaza and the issue of Israeli captives. Hamas described Trump’s statements as “blatant support for Zionist propaganda” and a clear example of Washington’s double standards.
The group emphasized that Trump’s comments represent a blatant disregard for the deaths of more than 65,000 Palestinian civilians in Gaza, most of whom are women and children.
hamas added: “The U.S. government is fully aware that war criminal Netanyahu has destroyed every chance for an agreement to end the war and free the captives, including his recent criminal attack on Qatari soil and an assassination attempt against Hamas negotiators during deliberations over a proposed plan by Trump.”
The statement held Netanyahu personally responsible for the lives of Israeli captives held in Gaza.
Hamas further warned that ongoing systematic destruction and fascist crimes in Gaza endanger these prisoners’ lives as well.
Hamas held the United States accountable for continuing what it called “genocidal war and mass killings in Gaza,” accusing Washington’s supportive policies and misleading propaganda of concealing Israeli regime crimes.
Hours earlier, Trump had reiterated baseless accusations against Hamas, claiming he read a report stating that Hamas moved Israeli captives closer to ground level to use them as human shields during an expected ground offensive by Israel.
