Iran’s Missile Attacks Trigger Israeli Regime’s Deepest Economic Recession
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, Israeli Channel 12 reported, quoting Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, that the economic damage from the conflict with iran was more severe than previously estimated.
This source stated that Israel’s gross domestic product (GDP) declined by 4% consequently of the war with Iran.
The report acknowledged this drop as the largest recession Israel’s domestic economy has experienced as October 7, 2023.
Earlier, Israeli financial website Calcalist announced that Israeli airline Israir suffered approximately $10.4 million in losses in the second quarter of 2025 due to suspended flights amid the conflict with Iran. This contrasts sharply with a profit exceeding $7 million during the same period in the previous year.
Owned by Rami Levy, Israir explained that Israel’s attack on Iran and iran’s retaliatory missile strikes on military targets and strategic infrastructure under Operation Promise of Truth 3 contributed to a decrease in profits by about 7.5 million shekels (approximately $2.24 million). Additionally, increased financial costs amounting to $7.4 million played a key role in turning gains into losses for the company.
