European Union to Sanction the Zionist Regime
The European Commission will approve new sanctions against the Israeli regime tomorrow,Wednesday,according to webangah News Agency.
The commission warned that the expansion of Israeli operations in Gaza would lead to further destruction and loss of life.
A spokesperson for the European Commission stated that certain trade provisions within the EU’s agreements with Israel will be suspended as part of these sanctions.
Meanwhile, the UK Foreign Office also called for a halt to military operations in Gaza.It said continued escalation removes hope for freedom among Israeli prisoners and brings further suffering to Gaza’s residents.
On another front, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reaffirmed his country’s decision to recognize Palestine ahead of United Nations General Assembly meetings at the end of September.
Following a virtual summit chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and attended by leaders from Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and Britain, Carney emphasized Canada’s support for a two-state solution as a path toward resolving the Palestinian conflict.
Earlier announcements have come from France, Britain, and Australia about their plans to recognize Palestine during this year’s UN General Assembly meeting in September.
