Did the US Know About the Attack on Qatar 50 Minutes in Advance?
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera,Majid Al Ansari,spokesperson for qatar’s Foreign Ministry,stated that Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the strategic partnership between Qatar and the United States with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
He added that during their talks, the Emir addressed Israel’s attack on Doha and the war in Gaza.
Al Ansari emphasized that Qatar’s ties with the U.S., notably in defense cooperation, remain strategic.
He asserted Qatar’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and taking measures to prevent any recurrence of attacks.He also acknowledged Arab and Islamic countries’ solidarity with Qatar.
Regarding reports that Washington was informed 50 minutes before Israel’s strike on Qatar, Al Ansari said: “We do not rely on media reports; our interaction is direct with the United States.”
The Foreign ministry spokesperson also conveyed a message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Violations of international law will not continue.”
On ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, he commented: “The talks do not seem genuine because Netanyahu is seeking to derail them while bombing a mediator country.”
