Israeli Official: Doha Summit Has Become a Regional Coalition Against Israel
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al jazeera network, former Israeli military operations commander Yisrael Ze’ev warned about the regional situation and consequences of occupying Gaza. He acknowledged that the Doha meeting showed that instead of forming an alliance against Iran, a regional coalition against Israel is emerging.
The former Israeli operations chief said that occupying Gaza would force residents to flee toward Egypt, which Cairo might interpret as an act of war.
He warned: “loss of control over Egypt’s borders will have disastrous consequences.”
Ze’ev added: “After the failed attack in Qatar, Israel could have improved its position by ending the war.”
He stated: “Occupying Gaza will inevitably lead to the deaths of Israeli captives and many soldiers.”
Ze’ev emphasized that any direct military action in Gaza would bring severe humanitarian and security repercussions, with limited options to prevent disaster.
the former official criticized Netanyahu’s cabinet as “the weakest government in our history,” saying it has turned Israel into a regional bully that violates other countries’ sovereignty without accountability.
