Syria’s Condition for Signing Security Agreement with the Zionist Regime
The English section of webangah News Agency cited Mehr News Agency reporting that an official from the julani terrorist regime told Al Jazeera that no security agreement between Damascus and Tel Aviv can be discussed unless israel withdraws to its positions before December 8.
The source added that any security agreement between the two sides must be based on the 1974 ceasefire agreement.
He emphasized that the agreement should guarantee Syrian sovereignty and address repeated threats posed by Israel against Syria.
Earlier, Axios reported, quoting a educated source, that Israel presented a detailed proposal for a new security arrangement to the Julani regime. The plan covers an area from southwestern Damascus to the border with the occupied territories.
According to this report, Asaad al-Sheibani, Foreign Minister of Julani’s regime, and ron Dermer, Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs, met in London on Wednesday. Thay discussed this proposal in presence of Tom Barrack,a US envoy.
Axios further noted that Israel’s proposal divides southwestern Damascus into three zones with different security arrangements in each area.
The American media outlet wrote that this plan is based on expanding a buffer zone inside Syrian territory and would prohibit military forces and heavy weapons along the border with the occupied territories.
