Sheikh Naeem Qasim Speaks on Anniversary of Pijarha Terrorist Operation in Lebanon
The English section of webangah News Agency reports,citing Mehr News Agency,that Al-Manar will air a special program today marking the first anniversary of the Israeli regime’s terrorist attack involving pager explosions.
The program will begin at 3:30 p.m. local time, during which Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, will address the event.
On August 7 and 8 last year, numerous pagers belonging to Hezbollah members and some Lebanese civilians suddenly exploded in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahieh.According to Lebanese security sources, many users of these devices were civilians unaffiliated with Hezbollah. These sources noted that pagers were also commonly used by building guards, environmental supervisors, and ordinary individuals.
The explosions resulted in 37 fatalities and more than 3,400 injuries. Among those harmed were several civilians and children. Reports indicate that this operation involved planting explosives inside dialog devices before their use by Hezbollah members and was carried out by Mossad.
