Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya’s Health Deteriorates in Israeli Regime Prison

The⁤ son of Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal⁤ Adwan​ Hospital in Gaza, ‌who is currently held captive by the Israeli regime, has reported‌ that his father’s condition is critical.

According to the English ⁤section ​of⁢ webangah News ⁢Agency, citing⁣ Mehr News Agency and the⁣ Palestinian Information Center, Elias,​ the son of​ captive Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, stated that his father’s lawyer reported after visiting him at Ofer prison that he has ⁢lost more than ‌30 kilograms (over 66 pounds).

elias added that his father is enduring extremely harsh conditions; the occupiers have deprived him of sunlight exposure, and⁤ he suffers ⁤from a skin ‍disease. he is also denied access to bathing.

Elias emphasized​ that his father continues to suffer⁢ from injuries caused by five shrapnel fragments‍ lodged in⁤ his⁢ thigh.These ⁣wounds were inflicted when quadcopter drones struck him during an attack on Shifa Medical Complex. The occupiers⁢ have not allowed ‌him to see a​ surgeon, which has⁢ led⁣ to serious‍ complications.

Dr.Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, ‍was captured during Israel’s ‌genocidal war ‌against Gaza. An image showing him standing unarmed ⁣before Israeli tanks became a symbol⁣ of gaza’s‌ resistance. According ⁤to his lawyer, Dr. Abu Safia​ has been subjected repeatedly to torture while imprisoned.
