Gaza Ministry of Health Warns Hospitals Are on the Verge of Complete Shutdown
The Gaza Ministry of Health declared that Israeli forces are deliberately blocking efforts by the World Health Association to deliver fuel to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, according to a report by webangah news Agency citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency.
According to the statement, Israeli authorities insist on preventing the World Health Organization from using choice methods to supply fuel to hospitals in Gaza and northern areas.
The Ministry emphasized that halting fuel deliveries needed to operate hospital power generators effectively means a complete shutdown of healthcare services across Gaza’s medical facilities.
The crisis threatens to stop operations within days at Al-Sahaba Medical Complex, Public Services Hospital, the central oxygen station, ambulances, and other hospitals. The closure of both the central oxygen station and ambulance services signals an impending serious health and humanitarian disaster for Gaza’s population.
The Ministry urged all relevant bodies to intervene promptly to secure safe access for essential fuel deliveries that keep hospitals running throughout Gaza.
Simultaneously occurring, more than 20 international aid organizations sent a letter warning the United nations about ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip. They called for urgent intervention from global leaders.
These groups stressed that findings from a UN investigative committee have confirmed clear evidence of genocide occurring in Gaza. They warned that continued global silence would lead this region into its deadliest period ever recorded.
The signatories also cautioned that militarizing humanitarian aid delivery endangers thousands who risk being shot while trying to reach life-saving support.
They urged world governments to take immediate and effective action to stop killings, end violence, and terminate occupation in order to save lives across Palestine’s besieged zone.
