According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Brazilian news agency ALN via Mehr news Agency, large-scale demonstrations took place concurrently in ten major Brazilian cities-including São paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, and Campinas-in a symbolic show of solidarity with the humanitarian “Sumud” convoy and condemnation of the Gaza blockade.
Organized by the International Campaign to Support Palestine, these protests saw hundreds of human rights activists, civil society groups, and ordinary Brazilians gather in public squares and streets.
This event marked one of Brazil’s largest recent pro-Palestine rallies. Participants chanted slogans denouncing policies restricting Gaza and calling for respect for Palestinians’ human rights.
Protesters carried banners reading ”Stop Gaza Blockade” and “Human Rights for Palestine,” demanding an immediate international response to end the humanitarian crisis afflicting the region.
The peaceful gatherings received widespread local support. Organizers expressed gratitude for strong turnout while emphasizing this demonstration as just the beginning of a larger campaign aimed at raising awareness about Gaza’s humanitarian situation.
ALN also reported that alongside these rallies, humanitarian aid collections were organized within some protest sites to benefit people in Gaza.
These symbolic actions reflect growing solidarity among Brazilians with Palestinians and highlight increased attention toward global humanitarian crises.
