Venezuela Announces Start of Military Exercises in the Caribbean Sea
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Russia Al-Youm, the Venezuelan government has initiated extensive military drills in the Caribbean islands.This move responds to recent US military activities in the region.
Vladimir Padrino López, venezuela’s Minister of Defense, stated that the exercise includes deploying air defense systems, utilizing armed drones for reconnaissance, and conducting electronic warfare operations.
He added that these maneuvers are taking place on La orchila Island, where last week US forces detained a venezuelan fishing vessel near the island and held it for eight hours.
The drills come two days after then-US President Donald Trump announced a second strike inside Venezuelan territory. He claimed this attack targeted drug traffickers and resulted in three casualties among them.
