Al-Jolani: Security Agreement with Israel Is a Necessity

The⁢ leader of the ruling regime ‌in ‍Syria announced that talks with Israel may⁤ reach a conclusion in the ⁤coming days.

He also emphasized that a security ⁣agreement ‌with Israel is essential and must ⁢include respect for Syrian airspace ⁣and territorial integrity.

al-Joulani added, “If the security agreement with Israel is successful, other agreements could also be reached.⁢ Though, peace and normalization of relations are⁣ not currently on the agenda.”

He further claimed that the⁣ United States is not‍ pressuring Damascus to reach an agreement with‍ Israel.
