Chinese Defense Minister Warns the World Faces New Threats.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and QatarS Al Jazeera network, China’s Defense Minister Dong Jun warned in his opening speech at the Xiangshan security Forum that global peace is confronted with new threats and challenges.
He emphasized, “we must remain vigilant and oppose hegemonic ambitions and coercive policies.”
The Chinese defense chief added, ”Regarding war, the world once again faces a decisive choice: peace and dialog or confrontation.”
He also stated that china’s military stands ready to cooperate with other countries’ armed forces to maintain global peace.
The minister further declared, “To protect international sea lanes, we conduct joint military exercises.”
