Israeli Army Confirms Deaths of Four Soldiers in Gaza
The Israeli army announced in an official statement that four of its soldiers were killed during clashes in southern Gaza, according to the English service of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
According to the Israeli military statement,one of the fallen soldiers held the rank of major,while the other three were captains.
The army also confirmed that three additional soldiers were wounded in these battles.
Earlier today, Israeli media reported that following the explosion of a homemade bomb in Rafah, located in southern Gaza Strip, four Israeli soldiers were killed and eight others injured. Some outlets stated that an armored vehicle detonated an explosive trap during this incident.
This afternoon, a young Palestinian-Jordanian attacked Israeli soldiers at the Al-Karameh crossing on the Jordan border with both firearms and knives. He shot dead one soldier and stabbed another who later died from his wounds.
