Russia: Reimposing Sanctions on Iran Lacks Legal Validity

According to⁢ the English section of webangah News agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russia’s representative at the United Nations⁤ reiterated during a Security Council meeting that the signatories ⁤of the Iran nuclear ⁢deal do not have‍ the right to reimpose UN sanctions on Tehran.

He added that efforts by the‍ European Troika ⁣to reinstate ⁤sanctions against Iran ⁣lack legal validity.

The Russian envoy also stressed that European⁤ countries are rejecting diplomatic solutions regarding Iran’s nuclear ‍program. he concluded that reimposing sanctions on Iran holds no legal legitimacy.
