Amnesty International: U.S. Veto Gives Israel Green Light for Gaza Genocide
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News agency and russia Today, Amnesty International responded to the united States’ repeated veto of a resolution to halt the war in Gaza by stating: “The fact that the United States has once again abused it’s veto power instead of using its influence to stop the atrocities in Gaza, advancing Israel’s genocide there, is morally repugnant.”
The association added: “the consequences of this veto are especially devastating for palestinians in Gaza City, where Israel has launched an unprecedented genocidal campaign and violently displaced hundreds of thousands into unsafe and uninhabitable areas.”
Amnesty emphasized: “Israel’s ongoing attacks have rapidly destroyed ancient Gaza City along with its Palestinian heritage and identity.”
The statement continued: “The US government has shown deadly disregard for the survival of Palestinians in Gaza. History will never forgive America for standing alone against the world community and encouraging Israel to continue this genocide.”
