Jolani: I Don’t Trust Israel, but We Will Sign an Agreement Soon!
Abu Muhammad Jolani, head of the terrorist group governing Syria, told Turkish media, ”I do not trust Israel,” according to English reports by webangah News Agency, citing al-Mayadeen.
He added,”We are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Tel Aviv mediated by the U.S. There is a possibility that this agreement will be signed in the coming days. The agreement will be similar to the 1974 accord.”
Jolani stressed that an agreement with Israel does not mean normalizing relations with Tel Aviv or Syria joining the Abraham Accords.
“Israel’s attack on Syria’s Ministry of Defense amounts to a declaration of war,” he said. ”Nevertheless, there is no way around a security agreement with Tel Aviv.”
Meanwhile, local sources in Syria reported protests last night in Homs city in central Syria.
Participants expressed their opposition to Jolani’s regime signing a security deal with the Zionist regime.
Last Tuesday night, U.S.-based Axios news agency quoted an informed source saying that Tel Aviv had submitted a detailed proposal for a new security agreement to Jolani’s regime. the plan covers territory from southwest damascus up to the border with occupied lands.
