The US Senate has ‌confirmed the former National‍ Security Advisor and the central figure⁤ in the “Signalgate” scandal as WashingtonS ambassador to the United Nations,⁢ concluding a months-long process.

The US Senate, after a⁢ lengthy deliberation lasting ⁢several ⁢months, has appointed mike Waltz-former National ⁢Security Advisor under President Donald Trump and the main ⁣defendant in the “Signalgate” controversy-as Washington’s‌ ambassador to the United Nations, according to webangah News Agency.

Waltz secured this sensitive diplomatic post with a narrow vote of 47 in favor and 43 against. His confirmation comes just days ahead of ‌the annual UN General Assembly meeting in New York.

this approval ends a prolonged delay largely‍ caused by opposition from several Senate Democrats who⁢ criticized Waltz’s ⁣past conduct.

The primary reason for ⁤postponement was Waltz’s controversial history, including his ‍dismissal as Trump’s National Security Advisor following the Signalgate scandal.
