Ukraine Launches Drone Attack on Crimean Resort

Ukraine’s​ Ministry ⁢of Defense announces a drone attack‍ on a resort in the Crimean Peninsula.

According to the‌ English section of webangah News agency,⁢ quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russia’s Ministry ⁢of Defense ⁤reported that ⁤two peopel were killed‍ and 15 wounded in a ⁢Ukrainian drone strike on the Crimean​ Peninsula.

The Russian Ministry‍ stated that Ukraine targeted a resort area in‍ crimea where there was no⁤ military base.

Russian air ‍defense systems intercepted and ⁣destroyed 22 drones over recent hours,according to​ their statement.

The ‍ministry added that sixteen drones were shot down over the Black Sea, while three others ⁤fell over Belgorod Oblast and⁤ the Republic of Crimea.

On Sunday, Russia also reported downing five Ukrainian‍ drones above Belgorod Oblast.

Earlier, Ukrainian‍ officials announced that following an extensive Russian offensive⁣ across ⁢Dnipropetrovsk, ​Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, ​Zaporizhzhia, Poltava,‍ Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy,⁣ and Kharkiv⁤ regions, at ⁢least ​three people⁢ were killed and dozens injured.

According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia launched its recent assault with 619 ⁣drones​ and missiles. Ukraine’s air defenses ⁢intercepted or destroyed 552 drones along ​with two ballistic ​missiles and 29 cruise missiles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed the enemy targeted infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian‌ enterprises. He said one missile equipped with cluster munitions⁤ struck a multi-story building in the city of Dnipro.

this series of attacks comes ahead of a highly⁢ significant UN Security Council meeting scheduled for next week at the​ ministerial level focused on Ukraine issues.
