Ukraine Launches Drone Attack on Crimean Resort
According to the English section of webangah News agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that two peopel were killed and 15 wounded in a Ukrainian drone strike on the Crimean Peninsula.
The Russian Ministry stated that Ukraine targeted a resort area in crimea where there was no military base.
Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 22 drones over recent hours,according to their statement.
The ministry added that sixteen drones were shot down over the Black Sea, while three others fell over Belgorod Oblast and the Republic of Crimea.
On Sunday, Russia also reported downing five Ukrainian drones above Belgorod Oblast.
Earlier, Ukrainian officials announced that following an extensive Russian offensive across Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, at least three people were killed and dozens injured.
According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia launched its recent assault with 619 drones and missiles. Ukraine’s air defenses intercepted or destroyed 552 drones along with two ballistic missiles and 29 cruise missiles.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed the enemy targeted infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian enterprises. He said one missile equipped with cluster munitions struck a multi-story building in the city of Dnipro.
this series of attacks comes ahead of a highly significant UN Security Council meeting scheduled for next week at the ministerial level focused on Ukraine issues.
