Israeli Outrage Over UK Recognizing the State of Palestine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Israeli Embassy in London stated that britain’s recognition of the State of Palestine rewards terrorism and damages efforts to establish peace in the region.
The ongoing crimes committed by Israel in Gaza and growing international outrage over these acts have led many European countries to recognize Palestine as a state.
The islamic Resistance Movement (hamas) responded to recognition from the UK, Canada, Australia, and declarations by other countries planning similar moves with a statement calling it a notable step toward affirming the Palestinian people’s rights over their lands and holy sites. Hamas emphasized that this recognition supports their right to establish an autonomous state with Jerusalem as its capital, along with their sacrifice for freedom and return.
Hamas added that this vital action must be accompanied by practical measures leading to an immediate end to war, stopping what thay described as brutal genocide against Palestinians in gaza, and resisting annexation projects and Judaization policies in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In contrast, Israeli Prime minister benjamin Netanyahu responded to Palestine’s recognition by Britain, Canada, and Australia by asserting: “There has never been a State of Palestine,” adding that Israel’s response will become clear after his return from the United States.
