Key Disputed Clause Between Tel Aviv and Damascus in Security Agreement
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Mayadeen, channel 13 of Israeli state television reported that the primary dispute between Tel Aviv and damascus in the proposed security agreement concerns Israel’s continued air incursions into Syrian airspace.
The Israeli network claimed that most terms of the security deal have reached consensus. Damascus has agreed to disarm southwestern Syria, while tel Aviv will withdraw its forces from most occupied areas except for the Golan Heights region around Mount Hermon (Jabal al-Sheikh).
However,Israel insists on maintaining access to Syrian airspace for its warplanes.
It is noteworthy that Abu Muhammad al-Julani, leader of the terrorist groups ruling parts of syria, acknowledged Israel’s unreliability but announced plans to sign a security agreement with Israel in the near future.
