How Many Governments Worldwide Have Officially Recognized the State of Palestine So Far?
according to webangah News Agency’s English section, citing Mehr News Agency and sputnik, yesterday marked a critically important event as four countries-Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Portugal-officially recognized the State of Palestine. Palestinian circles have hailed this growth as crucial, while Israeli officials have reacted negatively.
Other nations such as France,Malta,and Belgium have also pledged to recognize Palestine during upcoming United Nations General Assembly sessions.
To date, 151 out of 193 UN member states have recognized Palestine. Al Jazeera reports that this figure may rise to 159 countries. Meanwhile,in 2024 the United States used it’s veto power to block full Palestinian membership in the United Nations.
