Islamic Jihad: Netanyahu Doesn’t Want Peace; Gaza Solution Prospects Are Blocked
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, quoting Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, the deputy secretary-general of Palestine’s Islamic Jihad Movement said Netanyahu does not want peace and holds great delusions.
In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera,Mohammad al-Hindi added that the prospect for a solution in Gaza is blocked,with no new or old ideas on the horizon.
He further stressed that recognizing the State of Palestine represents a diplomatic defeat for Israel-but asked, what comes next?
Yesterday, four countries-Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Portugal-recognized the State of Palestine in an unprecedented event. Palestinian circles viewed this move as meaningful while Israeli officials reacted negatively.
Several other countries-including France, Malta, and Belgium-have also promised to recognize Palestine during upcoming United Nations General Assembly sessions.
