The U.S. representative to the United Nations security Council, mike Waltz, stated today, Monday, during a council meeting convened at Estonia’s request: Nine days ago, the security Council met over Russia’s violation of Poland’s airspace. Washington called on Russia to respect international laws on this matter.Now a similar issue has arisen regarding Estonia.
Waltz emphasized that “in response to Russia’s breach of Estonia’s airspace, we stand with this country.” he added, “We will defend every inch of NATO territory and urge Russia to halt its dangerous actions.”
He also called on Moscow to negotiate directly with Ukraine to end the war. “We want Russia to pursue de-escalation, not prolong conflict,” Waltz concluded.
