Five Arab Leaders to Meet Trump Soon in New York
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and CNN Arabic, Hamad bin Jassim, former Prime Minister of Qatar, has announced an imminent meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders from several Arab nations.
Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim posted on the social media platform X that a meeting will soon take place involving Trump and the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan.
He explained that this gathering will allow thes leaders to speak directly with the U.S. president about the situation in gaza and the dangers posed by its ongoing humanitarian crisis.
He emphasized that as close allies of the United States-with personal ties between their leaders and Trump-these five countries must candidly communicate that continuing Gaza’s catastrophic conditions will harm both America’s allies and its own national interests in the future.
Concluding his remarks, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim stressed that a resolution to the Palestinian issue cannot be achieved thru starvation or displacement but rather through a peaceful two-state solution respecting both parties’ rights.
The White House has confirmed that president Trump plans to meet with foreign counterparts on Tuesday during the UN General Assembly session in New York.
