Jordan’s King Issues Latest Statement on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Jordan’s official news agency, King Abdullah II of jordan met with Turkish President Recep tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of an international conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and implementation of the two-state solution in New York.
A statement from the Jordanian Royal Court said the meeting, aimed at coordinating efforts to achieve comprehensive calm and a ceasefire in Gaza, saw King Abdullah II emphasize the urgent need to stop Israeli military operations there and guarantee that humanitarian aid can enter all areas of Gaza.
He also highlighted the role of the international community in pressuring for an end to attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Notably, at the two-state solution conference, King Abdullah stated that this approach remains ”the only option” for achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
