Hamas Welcomes Two-State Solution Conference Statement in New York
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Tuesday welcomed the joint statement issued at the international conference on a two-state solution held in New York.
Hamas also called for transforming international positions into concrete actions to compel the Israeli occupiers to establish a permanent ceasefire, carry out prisoner exchanges, ensure entry of humanitarian aid, withdraw from Gaza Strip, halt settlement expansion, annexation plans, and land confiscations.
The movement further expressed support for all stances aimed at securing the rights of the Palestinian people and fulfilling their goals for liberation of their land and return to it.
It regarded calls for ending Israeli occupation in Palestine, establishing an autonomous Palestinian state with full sovereignty, and empowering Palestinians to attain all legitimate national rights as valuable.
The Hamas statement said: “The unchecked existence of the fascist extremist occupier’s cabinet without any deterrent or accountability amid ongoing genocide crimes and starvation committed over 23 months is a stain on all supporters of the occupiers and those who neglect stopping aggression or prosecuting its criminal leaders.”
The movement reaffirmed its position that Hamas along with all resistance factions constitute a national current striving for liberation and return.
The statement added: “The weapons of resistance are a national right guaranteed by all international laws until occupation ends and an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is established.”
