Grossi: Inspection Team Ready to Deploy to Iran

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News ⁢Agency and Reuters, Rafael Grossi, Director General of ‍the International Atomic Energy Agency ​(IAEA), stated on the‍ sidelines of the 80th⁤ United Nations ‍General Assembly in New York that an IAEA inspection team is ready to be⁣ sent‌ to Iran. This‌ will occur provided Tehran and European powers reach‍ an agreement in the​ coming days to prevent the reinstatement of international sanctions.

Speaking with ⁣reporters, Grossi emphasized that intensive talks⁢ are ongoing between himself, Iran, European powers, and the United States to find‍ a resolution.

He highlighted the limited timeframe: “We have only a‌ few hours or days left⁣ to ⁢see if⁣ reaching an⁢ agreement is possible; this⁢ is ‌the effort everyone involved is committed to.”
